v Los angeles, California. Won first prize in statewide poster competition promoting a radio station (KRLA).

v Abandoned premed studies and worked on art portfolio for three months. Worked as Pictorial Artist for Peaches Records painting billboards (in oil) on 6x6 ft. panels to promote new albums by popular American and international rockgroups/singers in the music industry. Developed oil painting skills with over 500 panels depicting diverse subjects such as nature, figures, portraits, sceneries, cityscapes, illustrations, special effects and different cultures. Worked with big brother artist, Ben S. Lao who shared technique, art books and art materials with me over the years. We also worked - and argued in the Hollywood studios as Scenic Artists for Fox Television, ABC, Walt Disney Studios and various scenery studios under the International Alliance of Stage and Theatrical Employees (IATSE).

v Worked for Donrey Outdoor Advertising in Las Vegas - painting billboard portraits of celebrities (Dolly Parton) and performers in the major casinos (Caesar's Palace).

v Met the Yoda of painting - Theodore N. Lukits , a master colorist and a legendary painter of light, and luminous portraits of Hollywood stars. He enlightened me in the classical art of academic painting which emphasized painting from life. This was my first formal art training. Empowered with traditional training, painted Japonisme (exotic geishas and Samurais) and developed a personal aesthetic for classical, impressionist and contemporary art. Experimented with various media and explored (read) diverse subject matter for deeper insight and self expression.

v Reunited with Mary Jane after 15 long years. A stormy relationship at first followed by blue skies as we traveled to Las Vegas, Hawaii, San Francisco, San Diego and dreamed about opening a gallery. (More 'stormy days' prevented this).

v Flew to Florida and drove coast to coast with Mary Jane - spending sunny and balmy days on the beach. Painted tropical impressionist paintings. Ultimately settled in Naples, Florida where I set up a studio by the sea. Romanticism. Designed and screenprinted The Sharp Look, a preprint company for the tourism industry. Experimented on serigraphic techniques (hand color separations) for fine art and printmaking.

v Worked for Walt Disney Studios in Burbank , California. Painted blacklight special effects for Disney Fair which features all the Disney villain characters glowing three dimensionally in a darkened hall.
