And it's of course another word for erotic---as in sexy.
From an artistic perspective, you will find more meanings and illustrations that articulate this broad word in Exotica Island. So more stunning paintings of women from different parts of the world will inhabit this island. In light of cultural and urban lifestyle, I will include paintings of cosmopolitan girls from the cities to complement the island beach paintings.

Exotica is a type of music that has tribal rhythms and tropical motifs. Much of this explores the Polynesian Tiki Lounge Music that resonates with some of the Resort themes in my paintings, like a bit of tropical beach bars and glitzy Las Vegas...where the diva mermaids sing and dance with long legs!

Vintage Erotica

This genre is a mix of Art Deco and pin-up art, focusing on exotic costumes and calendar girls. They could be erotic versions of Cleopatra and harem girls painted in the classic style.

Some may be stylized like the painting above...and some may be more realistic. I like to use Art Deco lighting to give them a modern or contemporary look.
I also like the romantic and orientalist paintings of 19th Century artists (Jean Leon Gerome, Gustav Klimt, Gustave Moreau, etc.) and my late mentor Theodore Lukits.

Orientalism

If you like Japonisme, erotic woodblock prints (shunga) and harem art, you've come to the right destination. Some of my risque paintings will have to be hidden for obvious reasons so I will start with the mild and clean fun versions. Risque paintings are part of my pin-up art and this genre has a wide range of sexiness or eroticism.

My islands are open to many stylistic possibilities and I've started with the sexy mermaids because they can be anywhere! Be on the look out for such surprises and get the sneak peeks at up and coming Bravura Island.
