Ball of the Roses

This painting focuses on the woman instead of the rose parade. I've given her a dress with a butterfly motif for the event. You know, the butterfly and the rose motif...duh ; )
Another French mardi gras is the wild Nice Carnival, which was the original subject for Carnival Dancer. Again, I focused on the beautiful woman and her costumes instead of the event
As long as there are celebrities, parties, nights of nights, red carpets and paparazzi--- the fantastic costumes and fashion designs will always find a natural place outside the catwalk and the theatre. Fashion art posters and photos in magazines will continue to highlight---and inspire them---in living color.
This is one of them---pop art and glamour art. I'm thinking about designing fantastic female faces (with masks and make up) for all kinds of festivals. At one stage, I've collaborated with Mary Jane in designing for her fashion presentations and fantasy make up. These got me thinking about creating a series of fantastic faces like Crystal Cleopatra and Stargazer in Crystal Island.
These projects may soon link to my Flickr group and the Foxy Covergirl Channel. I'm still laying the groundwork for this interactive project while my site evolves into rich media. There's so much going on and on and on...Aaaaarrrghhh!
