This tropical painting is part of a series of romantic couples that I painted. The exotic beauty of these lovers takes me back to familiar places which I visit often---in my paintings!

The intensity of the colors are softened by the invisible ocean spray, and the lovers are locked in an eternal embrace...together, and with the elements. I chose the magic moment right before the kiss.

The other contemporary ethnic romantic couples that I painted are "Loving Arms" and "Sweet Soul Music". Like this piece, they to were painted somewhat realistically ---in contrast to the romantic couples in the Art Deco style. What they have in common is the vintage travel poster motif and the "getaway" theme...

and in many ways, being SEXY!
