Impressionism           Art Deco           Vintage Art

Caribbean Kids      When I was around five or six, I used to watch the animals in our neighbor's farm from the time they were born, to the time they were 'prepared' for wedding banquets and other special occasions. My resourceful mother was always called upon to help organize and cook for these grand wedding receptions. The men always looked forward to their drinks and the goat meat.

This tropical painting reminds me of the Caribbean watercolors by the American artist Winslow Homer. Though he painted somewhat more realistically than impressionistically---particularly his oil paintings, which he composed beautifully.

Leo and Aquarius       Another episode at the Fountain of Youth. I've done a series of these astrological designs in my graphics works. This one unites two signs---and touches on Classical Mythology. The idea expands on my vision of the mystical fountain.

Salome       I was pleasantly surprised to see a rare silent film that was long lost and forgotten. It was stored in some underground box that preserved it, and kept it intact for restoration. The film was a work of art and very much ahead of its time. It was the story of Salome and John the Baptist. The silent film had a glamorous look of vintage art deco, and it sparked the idea for this painting.
