Sexy Mermaid Hul
a Girl
Lovely Hula Girl ?
Ummm...not so sure about that... this beautiful exotic girl here in Hawaii could be dangerous.
Oomph! Too late for me though, I've always had this fixation for long haired curvaceous sirens since I started drawing, so here's another big catch from the sea. No mermaid tails today though.
She doesn't mind the fishnet that wraps around her legs when she goes to the city. While you're here in Hawaii, exotic girls on the beach will greet you with their charm and enchanting figure. And for an artist who loves to paint figuratively, they are simply fantastic!

As you can see, I do tend to paint figures...the thing is I keep painting from memory and imagination. Not sure how much of the original sketch remains, but I often draw with the brush from start to finish. So it's hard to tell the drawing from the painting.
I sometimes prefer the sketch for its charm and casual composition. I may do more sexy drawings and sketches and release them as raw and direct paintings (in Bravura Island). I draw with the brush-so they are direct paintings too. The finish is a matter of degree.
In the same way as an erotic picture is suggestive, the casual Sketch charms us by suggesting only the essential details, and leaving something to our imagination. In our tropical paradise of Hawaii, exotic girls and half naked mermaids are sheer treasure.

Aloha! It's a Tropical Paradise Con Tiki!
Sketchy and impressionist. That's the idea. Like a casual stroll on a breezy Hawaiian beach...or a sexy walk on the sands of Ipanema.
It's fun to paint tropical themes because they take me to these places. As I do, I get to focus on other aspects of the tropics like Tiki bars and the Hula Girls who bring you drinks and entertainment (this mermaid is posing as one of them!). I could go wild and tribal---but that's for our emerging Bravura Island.
Not every one has easy access to the beach...or tropical paradise, that's why Tiki bars like Don the Beachcomber and Trader Vic's were invented---to bring paradise to you! I noticed a resurgence of the tiki culture: tiki bars, restaurants and bistros. A lot of new designs use colorful lights and holograms to create that twilight ambience with neon backlit wooden masks. Some of the modern materials are now online, available for home decor. And married men enjoy building them for a fun project and outdoor entertainment so their wives can escape to their very own luau parties. Kinda like a weekend getaway to a tropical resort. Hey singles, you know all about the power of suggestion, right?
Some bistros or restaurants may suit this impressionist piece. Hey, this site is another venue that brings paradise to your living room 24/7 ;-)
I use my art to illustrate these Tiki bars. Now you see how the power of suggestion can transform an ordinary day to a dreamy holiday on the beach...in Hawaii, exotic girls and breezy ocean spray. This exotic tropical painting embodies many of the romantic attributes of my rustic impressionist Tropicana images. From the pensive native islander hula girl mermaid, the imminent glow of a Maui sunset, or the Ipanema Girl twirling with lapping waves against rocky shores...to the Brazilian samba and bossa nova rhythms, and those cocktails that you swizzle with that tiny umbrella while you lounge in your Tiki Room ...
These are all in line with my tropical paradise resort theme.
